Card Pilot

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 August 2026

Card Pilot LLC (“Card Pilot,” “we,” “us”) builds inventory, valuation and market tools for trading card collectors and dealers. This policy explains what information the Card Pilot mobile app and website collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it.

If you use Card Pilot, this policy applies to you. If you don't agree with it, please don't use the service.

Information we collect

Information you give us

Information collected automatically

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your collection, purchase prices, sales history or margins with other users, with advertisers, or with data brokers. Your inventory is private to your account.

How we use your information

Third parties who process data for us

Card Pilot is built on third-party infrastructure. These providers process data on our behalf, under their own privacy terms:

ProviderWhat is sharedWhy
Google Firebase
Auth, Firestore, Storage, Functions, Hosting
Account credentials, your collection data, card photos Authentication, database, file storage and hosting
Google Gemini Photos of cards you scan Automated recognition of player, year, set, parallel and grade
Card Hedge Card identifiers and search terms (not your prices, not your identity) Comparable sales and market pricing
Google Maps Platform Your ZIP code and card show addresses Converting locations to coordinates and rendering maps
Apple & Google Purchase and subscription records Processing payments and managing subscriptions
eBay Only what you choose to include in a listing Optional listing flow, used only when you initiate it

We never send your purchase prices, sale prices or profit figures to Card Hedge or to any other pricing provider. Those figures stay in your account.

Payments are handled entirely by Apple and Google. We never see or store your card number or billing details.

Photos and image recognition

When you scan a card, the photo is sent to Google's Gemini API so the card can be identified automatically. Photos you save to your collection are stored in Firebase Storage under your account and are visible only to you. We do not use your photos to train our own models.

How long we keep your data

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account we delete your inventory, buy list, sales history, saved home base and uploaded photos. Backups and server logs may persist for a short period as part of normal operations before being overwritten.

Some records may be retained where we are legally required to keep them, for example transaction records for tax purposes.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account and its data at any time from within the app: Settings → Delete Account. This is permanent and cannot be undone.

If you can no longer access the app, you can request deletion at cardpilot.me/delete-account or by emailing cardpilotllc@gmail.com from the address on the account.

Security

Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted by security rules so that one account cannot read another's data. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take the protection of dealers' financial records seriously.

Children

Card Pilot is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

If you are in California, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information as that term is defined by the CCPA.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these, email cardpilotllc@gmail.com. Most of them you can do yourself in the app.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. When we do, we'll update the date at the top, and for material changes we'll notify you in the app or by email.
